Inspiratio Ensemble is a classical music ensemble composed of accomplished soloists who perform varied concerts ranging from solo recitals, duets and trios to ensemble works involving several musicians and singers. Based in Portsmouth, the ensemble operates as a collective, co-founded by Mikhail Lezdkan, a renowned cellist and soloist, who is joined by violinist Catherine Lawlor and pianist Béla Hartmann as principal musicians.
The ensemble rehearses at St Mary's Church, Hayling Island, performing a concert series there each year alongside concerts and recitals at other venues in the surrounding area.
Our performers and supporting team have strong relationships with our musical and other partners where we work together to enable collaborations that can be purely musical or combined with other cultural and creative activities at venues in Portsmouth and further afield.
Our musical partners include other accomplished soloists who perform with the ensemble as guests for particular repertoire.
Our purpose is to contribute to and enrich the musical life and wellbeing of our community and to provide opportunities for our musicians and audiences to enjoy first class performances in our home city, surrounding area and beyond.
